Wol Gallery

Wol is a Seoul gallery with constantly changing exhibitions of tableware and other interior pieces.

We love the concept of this space, which elevates these everyday items to art.

And it's perfect for such a space to be housed in a hanok, or traditional timber house, on a winding lane in Seoul's historic Samcheong-dong neighbourhood.

The picturesque view from the space is of historic stone steps and a well, called Bokjeong Well (복종우물), which date back to the Joseon-era.

The well is one of the elements giving the neighbourhood its name. 'Samcheong-dong' means Neighbourhood of Three Pure Things, those being the clean water, the clean air and the genuine character of the residents.
